Charts drawn in your browser from the public APIs of the other sites.
Each chart loads its data straight from the site that publishes it (Climate Data, Air Data, Carbon Data, Economic Data, Water Data), so it is always the current version. If one of those APIs is down, only its charts are affected.

Mauna Loa and the global average
The global marine-surface average, which starts in 1979, next to the Mauna Loa record. A single high-altitude station follows the global picture closely.

CO2 with the seasons taken out
The monthly mean rises and falls with the Northern Hemisphere growing season. The trend series removes the average seasonal cycle, leaving the long-term rise.

Yearly air quality summary by county: Fairfield County, CT (former county)
EPA's yearly Air Quality Index (AQI) summary for every US county with a monitor, from 1980: how many days fell in each AQI category, the maximum, 90th-percentile and median daily AQI, and how many days each pollutant set the AQI. Validated EPA AirData; the latest year is partial until EPA's next release completes it.

Daily air quality index by county: Fairfield County, CT (former county)
The daily Air Quality Index (AQI) for every US county with an EPA monitor, from 1980 to yesterday. Rows up to EPA's latest AirData release are validated (validated: true). Later days are preliminary (validated: false): EPA AirNow data from federal, state, local and tribal agencies, not yet verified and subject to change. For those days the county AQI is a derived value calculated by airdata.dev as the highest site AQI reported to AirNow in the county that day, the way EPA summarizes a county; the site AQI values themselves are as received. Preliminary days cover ozone, PM2.5, PM10 and CO only. A preliminary row never replaces a validated one.

National fossil CO2 emissions: International aviation (bunker fuels)
Annual fossil CO2 emissions for every country and the world from 1750, in total and by source (coal, oil, gas, cement, flaring, other carbonates), from the Global Carbon Project's fossil CO2 dataset in the Global Carbon Budget.

County climate report card: Fairfield County, CT (pre-2022)
Monthly average, maximum and minimum temperature and precipitation for every US county (the contiguous US from 1895, Alaska from 1925, Hawaii from 1991), each with its 1991-2020 normal, the anomaly from that normal and its rank among all years for that calendar month.

Global surface temperature: World
Monthly global and hemispheric surface temperature anomalies from NASA GISTEMP v4 (1880 to present, relative to 1951-1980) and the Met Office HadCRUT5 analysis (1850 to present, relative to 1961-1990, with a 95% confidence range). The two series use different baselines.

State and national climate: Contiguous United States
Monthly average, maximum and minimum temperature and precipitation for each US state and the contiguous United States (from 1895; Alaska from 1925, Hawaii from 1991), each with its 1991-2020 normal, the anomaly from that normal and its rank among all years for that calendar month.

County personal income (BEA CAINC1): United States
Annual personal income, population and per capita personal income for every county, state and the nation from the Bureau of Economic Analysis table CAINC1, 1969 to the latest year, in current (not inflation-adjusted) dollars. BEA combines some Virginia independent cities with their counties and Kalawao with Maui; those combination areas appear under BEA's own codes (bea-*). Connecticut has both its legacy counties and its planning regions where BEA publishes them.

Median household income (ACS 5-year): United States
Median household income with its 90 percent margin of error for every county, state and the nation from the Census Bureau's American Community Survey 5-year estimates (table B19013), one row per release from 2005-2009 onward; the date is the release's final year. Each release is in its own final year's inflation-adjusted dollars, so releases are not directly comparable, and overlapping 5-year periods should not be compared year to year. Geography follows each release.

Local area unemployment (LAUS): Prince of Wales-Outer Ketchikan Census Area, AK (through 2009)
Monthly labor force, employment, unemployment and unemployment rate from the BLS Local Area Unemployment Statistics program for every state (from 1976), metropolitan and micropolitan area and county (from 1990), not seasonally adjusted, plus BLS's seasonally adjusted series for states and three metros. October 2025 is missing for the 50 states, DC and their substate areas because the household survey was not collected during the federal shutdown; those months are null with footnote X and are never interpolated. The latest month is preliminary.

Each date is the first month of its quarter (2026-01 is Q1 2026). The national total covers the 50 states and DC; Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands are listed separately. Connecticut appears as its eight legacy counties through 2023 and its nine planning regions from 2024, as BLS publishes it.
